Text4Mood

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based daily supportive text message program launched in January 2016 to address the long wait times and geographical barriers for access to counselling services for stress, anxiety and depression.

Over 25,000 Canadians have subscribed to the Text4Mood program as at July 2021.

Residents of Alberta can subscribe to Text4Mood by texting "MOOD" to 393939.

Text4Hope

CBT based daily supportive text message program which was originally launched to support individuals experiencing stress, anxiety and depression as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Text4Hope is also available in Arabic, Mandarin and Punjabi.

Launched in March 2020, over 54,000 Canadians have subscribed to the Text4Hope program as at July 2021.

Alberta residents can subscribe to Text4Hope by texting "Covid19Hope" to 393939.

British Columbia residents can subscribe to Text4Hope-BC by texting "HopeBC" to 393939.

Text4Hope-CancerCare

CBT based daily supportive text messaging program which provides psychological support specifically for patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Since its launch in March 2020, 95 Canadians have subscribed to the Text4Hope Cancer Care. Residents of Alberta can subscribe to the program by texting "CANCERCARE" to 393939.


MoreGoodDays

CBT based daily text message program to let young people have More Good Days. Messages are crafted by young people and reviewed by a clinical team.

Since its launch in June 2021, over 500 individuals have subscribed to the MoreGoodDays program.

Adolescents and young adults in Alberta can subscribe to MoreGoodDays by texting "MOREGOODDAYS" to 393939.

Text4Hope-Addiction Support

Provides daily addiction related supportive text messages to individuals seeking support for an alcohol or substance use disorder.

Since its launch in January 2020, over 420 Canadians have subscribed to the Text4Hope-Addiction Support program.

Alberta residents can subscribe to Text4Hope- Addiction Support by texting "ADDICTIONSUPPORT" to 393939.

Text4Support

Provides mental health diagnosis specific supportive text messages to addiction and mental health patients who are receiving formal face-to face mental health services. Programs under Text4Support include: Depression Program, Anxiety Program, Bipolar Program, Psychosis Program, Addiction Program, Trauma Program, Personality Disorders Program, Eating Disorders Program, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders Program.

Since its launch in 2019, over 1000 patients receiving services from the Alberta Health Services Edmonton zone addiction and mental health program have been enrolled on the Text4Support program.


PositiveMentalHealth

CBT based daily supportive email-messaging program which incorporates weekly mental health literacy information, online mental health self-assessments and other mental health resources to support individuals dealing with stress, depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions.

Text4PTSI

CBT based daily supportive text messaging program which provides psychological support for First Responders experiencing post traumatic stress injury symptoms.

Alberta's First Responders can subscribe to Text4PTSI by texting "PTSI" to 18449904343.

Text4Well-Being

Provides daily supportive text messages to help first respondence build resilience and improve their well-being.

First Responders in Alberta can subscribe to Text4Well-Being by texting "WELLBEING" to 18449904343


Text4Menopause

Supportive text messaging program for women experiencing menopausal symptoms including depression, sleep disturbance, hot flashes and night sweats.

Hope4Ukraine: Mental Health Support for Canadians impacted by the war in Ukraine

Hope4Ukraine program offers free daily supportive text messages for residents of Canada who have been impacted by the war in Ukraine. Each day you will receive a message with or without a related web link, to provide support and build coping skills for managing stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms. Hope4Ukraine is provided by the RBC Foundation and the Alberta Mental Health Foundation in collaboration with the Global Psychological eHealth Foundation, Bell Canada and the Departments of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta and Dalhousie University. The program does not respond to subscriber messages and sending messages may result in cost. If in crisis, subscribers should call 911.
