Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ResilienceNHope suite of programs including the Wellness4Students, Wellness4Teachers and Wellness4MDs mobile applications (the “Application”) operated by the Global Psychological eHealth Foundation (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Application.

 

1. Description of the Service

The ResilienceNHope program is a mobile application designed to support the mental wellbeing of post-secondary students, teachers, physicians and other identifiable groups.

The Application provides:

  • Daily supportive wellness messages based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) principles

  • Mental health literacy information and coping strategies

  • In-app surveys used to evaluate user wellbeing and program effectiveness

The program is designed to help subscribers manage stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout and to promote overall wellbeing.

The Application is intended for educational and wellness support purposes only.

2. Not a Medical or Emergency Service

The ResilienceNHope suite program does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The Application is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing severe distress, a mental health crisis, or thoughts of harming yourself or others, you should immediately seek help from a qualified healthcare professional or contact local emergency services.

If you are in Canada or the USA, you may contact 988 – Suicide Crisis Helpline. If you are in any other country, contact the emergency or crisis services number for your jurisdiction.

3. Eligibility

To use the Application, you must:

  • Be a post-secondary student, to be eligible to participate through an institution participating in the Wellness4Students program

  • Be a teacher, lecturer, professor or educator to be eligible to participate in the Wellness4Teachers program

  • Be a medical student, post-graduate medical physician trainee or physician to be eligible to participate in the Wellness4MDs program

  • Be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction

  • Have access to a compatible mobile device and internet connection

By using the Application, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Account Registration

To access the Application, you must create an account using a valid email address.

Your email address is used solely for:

  • Account authentication

  • Secure access to the Application

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

5. Surveys and Program Evaluation

The Application includes mandatory in-app surveys designed to assess user wellbeing and program experience.

Survey responses:

  • Are not linked to your email address

  • Are associated only with a system-generated in-app user ID

  • Are analyzed in aggregated form for research and program evaluation purposes

Survey data help improve the quality and effectiveness of the Wellness4Students program.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Application only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Application or its systems

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Application

  • Use the Application in a manner that could harm other users or the program

  • Reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the Application without authorization

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided through the Application, including messages, text, graphics, program materials, and software, is the property of the Global Psychological eHealth Foundation or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may use the Application solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Our collection, use, and protection of information are described in the ResilienceNHope Privacy Notice, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Service Availability

We strive to ensure that the Application operates reliably; however, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features of the Application

  • Temporarily suspend access for maintenance or technical reasons

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Global Psychological eHealth Foundation shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Application.

The Application is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect improvements to the program or changes in legal requirements.

If significant changes are made, users will be notified through the Application.

Continued use of the Application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Application at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Application if these Terms are violated.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and applicable Canadian laws.
